Maserati inaugurates first sales, service center in Egypt, launches Levante

MTI, Maserati sole distributor, has inaugurated its first integrated showroom and service center in Cairo.

During the inauguration ceremony, Maserati Levante, first multipurpose SUV, was launched. The vehicle is considered a key turning point in the company’s history.

The new Maserati world-class center comprises a showroom and a service center, in addition to a spare parts department. The center is built on 1,400 m², and the showroom accommodates up to six cars, and the maintenance center comprises five car service stations.

Moreover, the center includes a lobby, Maserati products department and a vehicle personalization room, where clients can choose the vehicle based on their personal preferences.

Levante was launched for the first time in Egypt during the center’s inauguration ceremony. The car takes its name from Levante, the warm Mediterranean wind that could turn into a storm in seconds. This first SUV Maserati enables the company to reach out to the world’s luxury markets.

Umberto Cini, Managing Director of Maserati Middle East, India and Africa, as keen on attending the ceremony.

“This is a historic day for us in Maserati Egypt as we have inaugurated our new headquarter in Cairo and launched Levante, the first Maserati multipurpose SUV. This model is going to be a game-changer, especially in this region”, Maserati Egypt CEO, Mohamed Kandeel, said.

Kandeel added: “Maserati is famous for its unique vehicles, but our mission is not manufacturing just a multipurpose SUV, but a true Maserati”.

Levante changed track and chose to use the platform developed for the Maserati sedans. The body was designed mainly to offer unique driving experience on regular roads, with competitive driving experience on rough roads, and tangible comfortable drive.

The design combines uniqueness and attractiveness, which reflects Italian beauty, reshaping the concept of multipurpose SUV cars. The design combines between spacious lines and the coupe extravaganza, with a maximum aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.31.

Levante interests any SUV driver based on the merits of high-level performance and the intensive use of light materials, in addition to the perfectly balanced 50-50 weight distribution and its low center of gravity.

Levante was geared towards offering the best comfort levels when driving on rough roads. The car benefits from Maserati’s advanced active air suspension: five ride heights, six levels of capability and comfort. Combined with Maserati’s acclaimed Skyhook system, sophisticated intelligent Q4 AWD and a torque vectoring system, Levante offers a truly exhilarating drive.

The car is equipped with the outstanding 3.0 Twin Turbo V6 petrol engine. The car comes with an eight-speed ZF gearbox in order to offer maximum comfort and speed. Levante’s acceleration rate is 5.2 seconds and its maximum speed reaches up to 264 km/h.

The vehicle is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Alert, Rear Cross Path detection, and Lane Departure and Forward Collision warning systems, in addition to a Touch Control 8.4″ screen.

A new state-of-the-art production line was exclusively built in Mirafiori Plant for Levante. Thanks to the 100-year-old Maserati experience, Levante guarantees artistic, amazing quality, which is manifested in the most precise details.
